A goalless draw in Russia means it is all to play for at Leverkuesen’s Bay Arena in a winner takes all clash.

Predictions

There was the fear that Russian outfit Krasnodar may be a little rusty in the first leg having not played a competitive game since the middle of December.

However, Murad Musayev’s men frustrated their German counter parts in an impressive display that leaves the door wide open for both sides.

Naturally, with home advantage, Bayer are favourites to progress with online betting sites and it is easy to see why.

Krasnodar has never won a game in Germany on three prior visits and were beaten 3-0 on their last Europa League outing against Sevilla.

Bayer are also yet to lose a European home tie this season and scored twice as many goals as their Russian opponents in the group phase.

New Bayer head coach Peter Bosz also has the free-scoring Kai Havertz to call upon who has netted five goals in his last seven matches.

All of this clearly points to the home win and that is exactly our prediction.

However, do not expect it to be pretty as Bayer sneak through with a nervy 2-0 home win as they attempt to repeat their 1988 UEFA Cup victory.

Betting Tips

Bayer to win to nil

Bayer have just recorded back to back clean sheets and look more stable at the back under new man Peter Bosz whilst Krasnodar conceded in five of their six group games and have never won in Germany making this one of the match result bet with the best sportsbooks for outright value.

Kai Havertz to score anytime

19-year-old German attacking midfielder Havertz has netted in five of his last seven games making the teenager hot property across Europe.
