Arsenal vs Napoli: Predictions, Betting Tips & Odds

Arsenal welcome Italian side Napoli to the Emirates for the first leg of this Europa League Quarter-Final tie.
Arsenal lost 1-0 to Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday and that defeat ended a run of three straight wins and was their first defeat in the Premier League since losing 3-1 away to Manchester City in February.
Napoli drew 1-1 at home against 10-man Genoa in Serie A on the weekend and struggled in front of goal yet again – and after losing 2-1 away to Empoli in the match prior the Azzurri have now won just two of their last six games in all competitions.
Arsenal finished top of their Europa League group with 16 points finished ahead of the likes of Sporting Lisbon, Ukrainian side Vorskla, and Qarabag. The Gunners beat BATE Borisov 3-1 on aggregate in the first knock out round after losing the first leg 1-0 in Belarus – before again having to turn around a 3-1 away defeat against Rennes to win 4-3 on aggregate in the round of 16.
Napoli finished third on nine points in their Champions League group behind P.S.G and Liverpool but ahead of Red Star Belgrade – then knocked out FC Zurich and Red Bull Salzburg when they dropped down to the Europa League knock out rounds. A 2-1 win for Arsenal is an interesting bet.
Arsenal to win
Napoli have failed to win in any of their nine visits to England in European Competition, losing seven and drawing twice – a 1-1 with Manchester City and goalless draw with Swansea.
Total goals over 2.5
Both sides like to play attacking football and that could be why the bookies are offering odds of 10/13 for the over 2.5 goals scored market.

Head to Head
These sides met twice before in the Champio’s League group stage in 2013 – The Gunners won their home game 2-0 while the Neapolitans matched that result in the San Paolo.
- Arsenal have won their last seven home games in a row in all competitions and have lost just three times at the Emirates this season – a 2-0 loss to Man City on the opening day of the Premier League, a 2-0 loss to Spurs in the League Cup and a 3-1 loss to Man Utd in the FA Cup.
- Napoli have lost two of their last three away games in all competitions and have won nine of their 21 road games in total this season, losing seven and drawing the other five.
- Arsenal will be looking to reach their first European final since losing 2-1 to Barcelona in the Champions League Final in 2006 – and they will be also hoping to go one better than the side that lost the UEFA Cup final in 2000 on penalties to a Gheorghe Hagi inspired Galatasaray side.
- Napoli led by Diego Maradona won the UEFA Cup in 1990 when they beat Stuttgart 5-3 over two legs and the Azzurri will be hoping to emulate that win this season.
