The fifth round of games in this season’s Premier League sees Arsenal travel to bottom of the table Watford this weekend.
Arsenal haven’t won in the Premier League since defeating Burnley 2-1 at home on the 17th of August and will be hoping to pick up the three points in this one.
ARSENAL TO WIN BOTH HALVES
Arsenal can boast some considerable attacking firepower up front and with Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette already on the goal scorers’ chart they will be confident of adding to their tally in this game, with the bookies always aware of the Arsenal front two.
ARSENAL TO SCORE MORE THAN 2.5 GOALS
The Gunners have scored in each of their four opening games in this season’s Premier League and will want to warm up for their Europa League tie away to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt with a comprehensive win in this match.
ARSENAL TO WIN BY A TWO GOAL MARGIN
Watford have conceded eight times already in the league so far this season and have been struggling in their opening four fixture. However, they did pick up their first point of the campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Newcastle last time out. The Gunners will want to take advantage of the Hornets woes this weekend.
GAME TO END 0-3
Head to Head
These sides last met at Vicarage Road in the Premier League in April and the Gunners ran out 1-0 winners. Arsenal have slightly the better of the historical head to head with 13 victories out of the past 25 meetings, while Watford have managed 11 wins during that time and there has been only one draw.
The match to end with an Arsenal win.
Watford are winless so far this season in the Premier League and will be desperate to get something out of this game in their attempt to lift themselves from the foot of the table. They will, however, be without the services of striker Troy Deeney who is side-lined with a knee injury.
The Gunners have failed to win either of their last two games but did fight back from two goals down to grab a point at home to Tottenham last time out. Arsenal will want the three points here to keep pace of the pack in the hunt for the top four spots.
