In becoming the first man to score a hat-trick and own-goal in the same match, Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham, took a leap forward in the Top Goalscorer’s odds with Mane, Aubameyang, Sergio Aguero, Salah, Rashford, Mount and Pukki, all scoring in Matchday 5.

The Favorites

Harry Kane – The England captain and Spurs star is one of just a few Englishman on our Top 10 List. A gifted striker who can bang them in from anywhere and can take apart the weaker sides with multiple goals.

Mohamed Salah – has the advantage of playing for Liverpool, a team that thrives on attacking football and equally lethal with head or by foot from distance.

Sergio Aguero – The Man City man is back to his best. He can turn on a dime, beat defenders nonchalantly and rarely misses a chance created by his dominant midfielders.

Tammy Abraham – Possessed with blinding pace, skill and an imposing physical presence in the box, Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham could yet be a dark horse to take out the EPL Top Scorers title this season.

Raheem Sterling – If Aguero doesn’t score them at Man City, Raheem Sterling does, blessed with blinding pace and a deadly accurate header.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – known for his pace, finishing, and off-ball movement. Aubameyang plays mostly as a finisher, but can also been deployed as provider on the wing, which could sometimes harm his goal-scoring potential.

Teemu Pukki – Finnish Norwich City man is a goal scoring machine and despite being at an understrength club, it certainly doesn’t stop him finding the back of the net regularly.

Sadio Mane – The Liverpool star maybe absent for the first round of EPL action due to African Cup of Nations commitments, however, he is the perfect foil for Mo Salah when Liverpool drive forward and finds space and time easily.

Marcus Rashford – The Man Utd man has kicked off the season with a bang and replaced his former teammate, Romelu Lukaku in the Top 10 since his transfer to Inter Milan.

Jamie Vardy – Vardy would be much closer to the top of this list if he played for a leading side. If Leicester go well, so will Jamie Vardy. Look for a possible mid-season transfer.

Gabriel Jesus – Playing as third-choice striker behind Aguero and Sterling at Man City may limit Gabriel Jesus’ opportunities. If there are any injuries to the Man City strike force, his odds will plummet.

Alexandre Lacazette – known for his pace, hold-up play, and work-rate, Lacazette may suffer from being used as a wide forward and provider on occasion, much like Aubameyang, limiting his scoring opportunities.

Our Prediction for the goal scoring title race

Mohamed Salah is our prediction to win the race to become the top scorer in the EPL for a third straight year, following 22 goals last season and an incredible 32 in 2017-18.

With Liverpool desperate to atone for last season’s capitulation of the title to Man City, manager Jürgen Klopp will give Salah all the attacking opportunities he needs to put his sublime goal scoring skills to use.
