NRL 2018 – Round 3 – Previews, Predictions & Tips
by Ken Edwards, 19 March 2018
Melbourne Storm vs North Queensland Cowboys – 22 March 2018
We’re tipping the experienced puppet master Jonathan Thurston to pull the strings and the Cowboys to take advantage of an unusually wobbly Cooper-Cronk-less Storm in Melbourne.
Canterbury Bulldogs vs Penrith Panthers – 23 March 2018
Penrith look good, very good. The Dogs have lost their bark and the once-dominant forward pack is struggling. The young Penrith side look too classy.
West Tigers vs Brisbane Broncos – 23 March 2018
The trickiest game of the round. Make up your own mind in this one. The Tigers have been very impressive in toppling both the Roosters and Storm in the first 2 rounds. Meanwhile, the Broncos have been hot and cold. It could be very close.
Canberra Raiders vs New Zealand Warriors – 24 March 2018
The battle of the giant forward packs. Canberra to beat the Warriors at home. Ricky Stuart will have the Raiders desperate to break their disappointing 2018 duck.
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Manly Sea Eagles – 24 March 2018
Manly pummelled a very good Eels side 54-0 last week at Brookvale, whilst the Rabbitohs were better but went down to Penrith last week. Worrisome times for South Sydney.
Parramatta Eels vs Cronulla Sharks – 24 March 2018
Look for the Eels to bounce back from their bad day out at Manly last week to pour more pain onto the winless start to the Sharks’ 2018 season.
Gold Coast Titans vs St George-Illawarra – 25 March 2018
Sydney Roosters vs Newcastle Knights – 25 March 2018
“Cronk to Tedesco. Try”. Expect to hear it more than once.
