Hobart Hurricanes

Melbourne Renegades

Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Renegades 52nd Match Squad Comparison

Hobart Hurricanes

The last loss against Adelaide Strikers was against the run of play for Mathew Wade’s team. They batted well like that had done earlier in the season but their bowlers again failed to defend a big total almost a repeat of their game against Sydney Sixers. As the season enters its most crucial phase the skipper would want his bowlers to take more responsibility. All their three losses this season have been while defending totals. Wade would have at the back of his mind the loss against the Renegades earlier in the season and would like to set the records straight in the next game.

Opening combination of Mathew Wade and D’Arcy Short has been constantly delivering the goods and this is great news for the side. Caleb Jewell, Ben McDermott and George Bailey have been the best middle order in the season. In Simon Milenko and James Faulkner they have good finishers and this makes them the best batting line-up of the season. It is their bowling which is causing headaches for the skipper. Jofra Archer has bowled well but others are going for too many runs all this season. James Faulkner, Jarrod Freeman and David Moody would need to check the flow of runs if they are to win the next game.

Melbourne Renegades

Aaron Finch’s side is riding on top gear at the moment. After their lackluster performances in the middle of the season the side has regained its form and they are going extremely strong at the moment. They have already qualified for the playoffs and have definitely looked the second best side after Hobart Hurricanes. The side has good balance and had defeated Hurricanes in their last game. Finch would want his team to keep the momentum going and win the next game and set the tone for rest of the games.

They have a good opening pair in Mackenzie Harvey and Aaron Finch. The two would look forward to giving their side a good start in the next game. Sam Harper, Tom Cooper and Mohammad Nabi have all performed well in the season and with Daniel Christian towards the end of the innings the batting looks strong. The side has bowled well this season especially Kane Richardson. Christian has also looked good and if there is good support from Chris Tremain, Harry Gurney and Cameron Boyce they will pose a stiff challenge in the next game.

Our Prediction for Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Renegades

Hobart Hurricanes shall win this game

In one of the biggest clashes of Big Bash League 2018-19 Hobart Hurricanes will take on Melbourne Renegades. The sides are currently sitting #1 and #2 on the points table and have already made it to the playoffs. The game at Bellerive Oval is a battle of supremacy for the two sides as none of them would be like to walk out of the park losing the game. Renegades had earlier defeated Hurricanes in the season and it would be interesting to see of the Hurricanes are able to average that loss or Renegades make it another win against them.

From a cricket betting logic, there isn’t much to choose between the two sides as they have had a great season so far but Hobart Hurricanes will have the home crowd behind them and shall start as favorites. Expect the top betting sites to offer great odds on live betting markets during in-play.
