Long Shot Bet: Scores Drawn at Half-time/New Zealand to Win at Full-Time – $19.00

Tip – England’s last gasp 18-16 win over the New Zealand Kiwis last week could be tipping the balance of power in International Rugby League away from the domination of the Southern Hemisphere heavyweights of Australia and New Zealand.

Can the Kiwis bounce back to level the series?

Last week’s 1st test in Hull was an absolutely cracking match with the game ebbing-and-flowing, with England finally scoring the victory roared on by their fanatical fans. We can only hope that the second test can live up to the same standard.

Liverpool’s famous Anfield Stadium hosts the match and given the ground’s mighty traditions with Liverpool FC, we just might hear a rousing version of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” sung by the Liverpool faithful.

England arrive with a chance to take the series by wrapping it up with victory. However, we expect that New Zealand will be tougher this time around and more familiar with the English conditions. Look for big forwards Marty Taupau, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Jesse Bromwich to put New Zealand on the front foot and Shaun Johnson to exploit the gaps created.

We like the $2.80 on offer for New Zealand to win by 1-12 points.

Either way, it’ll be a stunning setting at Anfield!
