Bucks vs Warriors: Predictions, Odds and Betting Tips
Friday, November 9th, 2:30 PM ET
Two of the leagues best face off for what may be the game of the year to this point.
Milwaukee is coming off a disappointing loss to the Trail Blazers on Tuesday night. In what was only their second loss of the season, they struggled guarding Portland’s two guard, CJ McCollum, who exploded for 40 points. Milwaukee did see good production from their usual characters, as Giannis, Kris Middleton, and Brook Lopez, each scored at least 22 points. Problem is, they struggled to find much, if any production from anyone else on the roster, as no one else scored more than eight points.
The Warriors just continue to do Warrior things. They’ve bounced back from their October 21st loss in Denver the way you would expect, rallying off eight consecutive victories, outscoring opponents by a combined average of 18 points per game. Klay Thompson has been particularly impressive, averaging nearly 30 points a game over his last four contests.
The matchup to watch on Thursday night is quite obvious, it’s the two nearly 7 foot freaks of nature, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. They will put on a show from tip off to the final buzzer. While the Greek Freak is good enough to go toe-to-toe with the likes of KD and his fellow all-star teammates, Giannis’ running mates may not be up for the task. The lack of any semblance of consistent play from anyone else on the roster not named Kris Middleton will be too much for Milwaukee to overcome in Oakland.
Score prediction: Warriors win 121-118
- Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors: Take Warriors (SU)
It may be their toughest test to date this season, but the Warriors will likely be up to the task. The Warriors plethora of scoring options will be too much for Giannis and company keep pace with. The Greek Freak will keep it interesting early on, but the Warriors are bound to pull away when it matters.
The league’s two top scoring teams (based on a points per game basis) face off in this one. Both teams also rank in the top three in 3-point field goals made. Scoring will not be an issue come Thursday.
Head to Head
These two teams have faced off 135 times throughout the years, with Milwaukee holding a prominent edge over Golden State, with an 81-54 record. The Thunder, however, have gone a disappointing 3-7 against the Rockets over the past two seasons. The two teams split their season series a year ago down the middle.
