Germany continue their Euro 2020 qualifying bid without a key member of the team but unusually it is not one of the playing staff.

Germany head coach Joachim Löw suffered a freak sporting accident meaning he will be absent from the dugout as his side head to the Borisov Arena looking to make it two wins from two in the European qualifiers.

After getting off to a winning start against the Netherlands in match day one, the Germans are once again overwhelming favourites to land the three points with online betting sites, unsurprising especially considering they have not failed to qualify for a European Championships since 1968.

That is some record and a daunting prospect for a Belarus team who have never made it to the finals and have conceded six in their two Euro qualifying games so far this campaign.

However, there is some positive news for Igor Kriushenko’s Belarusians as they are currently on a four-game unbeaten run on home soil.

Admittedly the last three of those games was against San Marino, Luxembourg and Moldova whilst Germany have scored nine times in their last four international matches.

In European Championship qualification, Belarus have only won one of their last six home games, having only scored in two of those games.

That makes a German clean sheet a likely occurrence in a fairly routine and probably forgettable 2-0 away win to at least give Low something to smile about back home.

Away team to win both halves

Germany have scored in both halves in three of their last four European Championship qualifying away games making this bet one of the best odds against you will get.

Head to Head

The two sides have only ever met once before all the way back in 2008 in an International friendly.

Despite going 2-0 up within 20-minutes, the Germans could not hold on as Vitali Bulyga netted a second-half double to leave the pair locked at 2-2 at the full-time whistle at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion in Kaiserslautern.
