At the time of writing, it’s unsure if players in the national T20 set-up will be released to play in the BBL 07 final.

SportsBet best bets:

  • Jofra Archer, Hurricanes Top Wicket-Taker at $3.50.
  • Darwin-product, Jake Weatherald to repeat his heroics from the semi-final to be top-scorer for the Strikers at the great value of $6.50.

Hobart Hurricanes: After storming into the BBL07 final through an exhilirating away performance in Perth, members of the Purple Army will be hoping for a repeat performance again away, this time to Adelaide to take on the Strikers in the final of BBL 07.

Former Aussie ‘keeper Matthew Wade has disappointed in BBL 07 but the dashing leftie saved his best for the win in Perth with a lightning 71 from 45 set the tone, playing the ‘D’Arcy Short’ role and setting up the Hurricanes for a super finish, which was dominated by Ben McDermott (67no from 30).  Son of Australian fast bowling legend, Craig McDermott, look for Ben to be pushed up the order in the final to get the ‘Canes away to a dynamic and quick scoring start.

Adelaide Strikers: Home ground advantage stacks up for a lot in Adelaide. Expect 50 000 parochial South Australians to not allow the Hurricanes a moment of respite. A huge difference. They are worth an extra player to your team.

On the field, expect the Strikers attack led by the experienced Michael Neser, Peter Siddle and Ben Laughlin to suffocate the Hurricanes batsmen. However, the Strikers will miss their outstanding Afghani leg-spinner, Rashid Khan is unavailable for the final.

Will the Strikers be able to contain the Hurricanes without Rashid Khan in the latter overs? Perhaps not.

Betting Top 10 Australia’s Tip: Look for the Hurricanes to live up to their favourites tag by upsetting the Strikers on their home patch.
