Andorra welcome World Cup holders France to their tiny principality in the Pyrenees, looking to restrict the visitors to as fewer goals as possible.

Andorra have started the qualification campaign with two defeats to Iceland and Albania and have not managed to score a single goal so far. They will be hoping that the away trip to Moldova just days before this game may have been more positive – but considering they haven’t won a game since March of last year it seems unlikely.

France are overwhelming favourites with the bookies to come away with all three points here – and it is not difficult to see why. Andorra sit 132 places below them in the FIFA rankings and this should be an easy run out for Didier Deschamps’ men. Some of the top players may even be rested but a victory will still be expected.

Andorra have never won a single European Championship qualifying game – and will be one of biggest underdogs with the sports betting sites ahead of this France game. Their last competitive victory came in a shock win at home to Hungary in a qualifying game for the 2018 World Cup – and just keeping the score relatively low will be seen as a positive by the home side.

It is commonly said that there are no easy games in world football but France know that they can take their foot of the pedal here and still come away with a convincing win. Even without some of their top players France could win this 5-0.

Betting Tips

The odds for anything but a France victory are not worth looking at.

With Kylian Mbappe and company on form this could be a torrid evening for the Andorran defence.

Head to Head

This is the fourth meeting between these two countries – with Andorra failing to find the net on each occasion. Interestingly France have not actually thrashed their opponents in any of the games but Didier Deschamps’ men will want to finish the season on a high.

  • Andorra have only ever won six games in their entire history and once went 12 years without winning.
  • Although France are a far better team than Andorra, the results have not been too embarrassing for the hosts in this fixture. Over the three games Andorra have only conceded seven goals.
  • Andorra finished bottom of their Nations League group but did manage four draws against Georgia, Kazakhstan and Latvia (twice).
  • The France manager, Didier Deschamps and his Andorran counterpart, Koldo Alvarez played against each other in a World Cup qualifier in 1998.
