AFL 2018 – Round 3

All Odds provided by

Carlton Blues ($2.65) vs Collingwood Magpies ($1.50) – 06/04/2018

Tip – It depends which Carlton turns up. Will it be the Carlton who pushed the Tigers all-the-way in Round 1, or the Blues outfit that meekly surrendered to the Suns in Round 2? Everything points to the Magpies in this one.

Port Adelaide Power ($1.08) vs Brisbane Lions ($8.50) – 07/04/2018

Tip – The young Lions continue to improve but they’re not good enough (yet) to seriously threaten the Power at the Adelaide Oval.

Melbourne Demons ($1.29) vs North Melbourne Kangaroos ($3.75) – 07/04/2018

place all bets with

Tip – If not for a Max Gawn shank in Round 1, the Demons would be 2-0 to begin 2018. The Dees should have too much class and run for the over-performing Kangaroos.

Gold Coast Suns ($2.90) vs Fremantle Dockers ($1.44)  – 07/04/2018

Tip – The Dockers don’t travel well away from the west. The Suns to defy the bookies and win on the Gold Coast.

Sydney Swans ($1.70) vs GWS Giants ($2.20)  – 07/04/2018

Tip – This Sydney derby could be a close affair. The SCG is a ‘specialist ground’ with its tight pockets and maybe that’s the reason the Swans are favourites. I’d love to be able to back a draw. GWS by a goal.

St Kilda Saints ($3.30) vs Adelaide Crows ($1.35)  – 07/04/2018

Tip – The Crows. By plenty.

Richmond Tigers ($1.65) vs Hawthorn Hawks ($2.30)  – 08/04/2018

Tip – The Tigers should win on the back of a longer break than the Hawks, who may be mentally drained after the Easter Monday 1-point classic win against the Cats. The Tigers’ 88 000 members should get them home.

Western Bulldogs ($2.85) vs Essendon Bombers ($1.45)  – 08/04/2018

Tip – What’s happened to the Dogs – beaten by the Eagles in Melbourne? The Bombers should win.

West Coast Eagles ($2.05) vs Geelong Cats ($1.80)  – 08/04/2018

Tip – The only reason I’m plumping for the Eagles here is their easier match than the Cats on the Easter weekend. Both teams are travelling to Perth. It could be a sloppy affair.
