Richmond Tigers ($1.38) vs Hawthorn Hawks ($3.15)

First Qualifying Final

MCG – Melbourne – 06 September 2018

Finals head-to-head – Nil

TipThe Tigers to win this one on the back of the bellowing 90000-strong Tiger-Army to spur Richmond on to a close win.

Quality players like Jack Riewoldt, Trent Cotchin, Dusty Martin and Alex Rance all help the Tigers cause.

Geelong Cats ($2.05) vs Melbourne Demons ($1.80)

First Elimination Final

MCG – Melbourne – 07 September 2018

Finals head-to-head; Played 7: Geelong 5, Melbourne 2.

TipMelbourne will be hard to beat, however, expect Geelong to win-it for Gary Ablett and provide a ‘welcome back to finals footy’ after 8 years on the Gold Coast.

Sydney Swans ($1.74) vs Greater Western Sydney Giants ($2.15)

Second Elimination Final

SCG – Sydney – 08 September 2018

Finals head-to-head; Played 1: GWS 1, Sydney 0

Tip – Both sides have limped into the finals in indifferent form. The ‘Battle of Sydney’ should see Buddy Franklin ‘will’ the quality youngsters around to win and survive Week 1 of the Finals.

West Coast Eagles ($1.60) vs Collingwood Magpies ($2.40)

Second Qualifying Final

Optus Stadium – Perth – 08 September 2018

Finals head-to-head; Played 6. Magpies 4, Eagles 1, draw 1.

Last time: Magpies won by 13 points in a 2012 semi-final at the MCG.

Tip – It’s difficult to see Collingwood overcoming a rampant Perth crowd and the quality Eagles forward-line. The Eagles should win to go straight through to a home Preliminary Final.
