Betuk Review for 2024

I first came across BetUK odds on a popular odds comparison site, and was struck by how many markets they had where they led the betting. I wondered, how can BetUK sports deliver such competitive odds? That was the moment I decided to begin research for a BetUK review.

What I’ve unearthed is impressive stuff. This is an exciting bookmaker which has some unique features. After all, how many sites do you know that have Teddy Sheringham as an ambassador? And a product as impressive as the BetUK sportsbook?

I have no vested interest in BetUK and will also be happy to share all of the negatives I found, like the fact that the banking options are pretty limited.

This might sound quite generic, but it’s one of the most important aspects of all – and the BetUK sportsbook is packed with industry-beating odds.

Having a celebrity endorse your site doesn’t necessarily mean the site is excellent, but when an ex-pro of Teddy Sheringham’s caliber associates his name with a site such as Bet UK, it does suggest this is a bookie to be taken seriously. And both Tottenham and Manchester United fans should get a kick out of it.

✔️ Exceptional in-play interface

If you want to bet on BetUK sports once the match has already started, you’ll love the in-play interface. Live stats, tables, animation of the game and more will help you make accurate bets and react in real time.

BetUK Weaknesses

❌ Limited banking

I wouldn’t say it’s difficult to deposit and withdraw at BetUK – in fact, the BetUK withdrawal time is pretty fast – but the number of payment methods is definitely limited compared to other bookies.

❌ Football and Horse Racing-centric

At BetUK, football and horse racing are by far the biggest items on the menu. This will be great for many players but, if neither of these sports tickle your fancy, you may want to look elsewhere. 

Conclusion

If you don’t like betting on football or horse racing, and you’re married to a specific type of e-wallet which isn’t listed here, you may not find the experience at BetUK to your liking. However, based on my experience of what matters most to players, I would think that most of you will love what Bet UK has to offer.

When I started my BetUK review (also sometimes written as Bet UK), I was excited. That’s because this is a site which genuinely seems to beat out the competition in some pretty major markets. For example, BetUK frequently has industry-leading odds for World Cup outrights. But they’ll also produce exceptional odds in many other competitions in the four years between World Cups!

In terms of BetUK sports which you can bet on, there are tonnes to choose from. But it’s undeniable that most of the focus is attributed to football and horse racing. This was ideal for me, as they’re my two main sports to bet on. And I suspect this will be the case for many of you, too. However, if you tend to bet on other sports, it’s well worth considering that a lot of the site’s focus will be lost on you.

If you do find the right BetUK sports for you, then I can pretty much guarantee the betting experience will be a positive one. The layout and graphics are not just easy to understand, but very aesthetically pleasing. Click on the in-play section, choose any live match, and you’ll quickly see what I mean. 

One obvious downside for me is the lack of banking options. Personally, I have no problem with depositing using my bank card or PayPal. However, many players these days prefer to use a specific e-wallet like Skrill or Neteller. If so, you’ll have to switch to another deposit method here, which could be a pain.

The odds at Bet UK are truly one of the things which are most appealing about this bookie. Most sites claim to have excellent odds, but you can objectively see that BetUK has better odds than its competitors on a wide range of sports and markets.

At the time of my review, there were over 88,000 football markets that I could bet on, which is an astonishing figure. And as I mentioned a bit earlier in my review of BetUK, this bookie often has odds that are either on par or sometimes better than their rivals, even on major markets and outrights.

Horse racing is second on the list of sports in the left-hand menu, coming only after football, and this is an indicator of how much the site emphasises the importance of the sport.

Fittingly, you’ll have access to loads of special offers on all the biggest races. When you’re looking at a race, click the ‘Details’ tab to turn on extra information which can be a really useful at-a-glance guide. You’ll find things like age, weight, previous odds, and how long it’s been since the horse’s last run. If you turn the details off, you’ll get a more streamlined view of the racers.

Now that you know there are plenty of sports you can bet on, you’re probably wondering how good their coverage is.

As I mentioned earlier, football alone has upwards of 88,000 markets – so you can safely assume that they have all sorts of outrights, accas and much more on offer. And you’d be right.

I checked out the BetUK app as part of my review. Overall, its rating on the App Store is not bad, but recent comments showed me a string of complaints.

In my experience in reviewing online bookies I’ve come to learn that a lot of one-star reviews are from disgruntled customers who may have just experienced a big loss at the site, and so should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Instead, I tested the app for myself. And it’s pretty solid. Admittedly, it did freeze once, and I had to shut it down and open it up again. But apart from that, I was easily able to deposit, place bets, and so on.

You can also still see the cool in-play betting features in the app; they don’t dumb it down to make it easier to fit on a phone screen. This was important to me, as I do most of my in-play betting on my mobile.

The main reason I wanted to check out BetUK was for the sportsbook, largely due to the big odds I’d seen for them on comparison sites. But there’s also a BetUK casino, and so I thought I should check that out too to get a full picture of what BetUK has to offer.

Firstly, Bet UK became part of LeoVegas in a £65 million acquisition in 2018. This means that, when you sign up to the sportsbook, you also get access to all those exciting casino titles LeoVegas is known for. 

My initial impression of the casino is that it wasn’t the prettiest. Many other sites have a more appealing look, with exciting banners, bigger images to indicate which game is which, and so on.

However, what it lacks in pizazz it makes up for in playability. Click on the ‘i’ logo in the corner of any slot game and you’ll be given a wealth of information on that title. This includes the number of reels, rows, the software provider, paylines, maximum win, volatility and more. This is infinitely more helpful than a snazzy picture. And besides, the game will look the same as it does on any other site once you start playing it. So, overall, I found this to be a better approach to slot games that I’ve seen at most sites.

I’ve had a lot of positive things to say about BetUK so far, but things are about to go slightly downhill, because the banking options aren’t up to scratch.

It must be said that I had zero issues depositing and withdrawing at BetUK. In fact, I found their withdrawal times to be speedier than many other online bookies in the UK.

The problem is with the limited number of options. You can deposit by card, bank transfer, or PayPal. But that’s about it. In the modern era, this selection of payment methods will isolate a lot of players who use services like Skrill, Neteller, cryptocurrencies and so on.

With that said, it’s handy that they allow PayPal, as this is something which a lot of players who use e-wallets will find convenient.
